Photomic Finder/Meter Battery Chamber Lids

Photomic Finder/Meter Lids (Part 20FD3-93)

We find three different battery chamber lids on early Photomic finders (flag-switch and button-switch).

From left to right: type 1 usually found on early flag switch Photomics, type 2 on late flag switch and early button switch Photomics, type 3 on late button switch Photomics.

Battery Chamber Lid Type 1 (Part 20FD3-93-O)

Large flat chrome lid, 19mm diameter, with a slot for a coin. Inside a brown plastic sheet with «+» marking. No possibility to store the incident light plate and the acceptance angle converter tube.

Battery Chamber Lid Type 2 (Part 20FD3-93-N)

Large glossy black lid, 20mm diameter, 5mm thick, with female threads on the outer side to store the attachments. Inside also a brown plastic sheet with «+» marking.

Battery Chamber Lid Type 3 (Part 20FD3-93-N)

Large glossy black lid, 20mm diameter, thickness enlarged to 5.7mm, with female threads on the outer side to store the attachments. Inside also a brown plastic sheet with «+» marking.

Photomic T & TN Finder/Meter Lids

We find two different battery chamber lids on Photomic T and TN finders.

From left to right: lid type 4 is found on early type 1 Photomic T finders, lid type 5 is found on Photomic T and Photomic TN finders.

Battery Chamber Lid Type 4

Small, flat, glossy black lid, 17.9mm diameter, with a small pin-hole in the middle, an engraved concentric circle, without a slot for a coin. Inside instructions, showing how the two batteries must be inserted.

Battery Chamber Lid Type 5

Small, flat, glossy black lid, 17.9mm diameter, with a small pin-hole in the middle, an engraved concentric circle, but with a slot to open it by a coin. Inside instructions, showing how the two batteries must be inserted.

We find two different battery chamber lids in the Photomic FTN era.

Battery Chamber Lid Type 6 (Part 20FD9-A15)

Small, flat, dull black lid, 17.6mm diameter, with a slot to open it by a coin and a small pin-hole in the middle, no concentric circle (Part 20FD9-22). Inside instructions, showing how the two batteries must be inserted (Part 20FD9-24).
